I have had this problem periodically for quite some time now (IE7 and IE8). And now the font problem is back (small font that quickly refreshes to larger). Also the forum no longer recognizes my name so I have to type out complete name and password each time.

This was on for about a couple of minutes yesterday while we were doing a minor fix "on the fly". True however that sometimes it displays like that to me, too.

For your character resize problem, please, delete your board cookies (at the bottom of the page).

As for your browser remembering or forgetting your login details, that's definitely a browser setting isse and has nothing to do with the forum.

Should you have any board issue (lost password, not being able to log in or register) at SCF, email me.
Otherwise read The Daily CatchUp or if you are a spammer, click here. ;)

I did delete the board cookies and browser cookies previously and again today (when the font problem returned) - no difference.
As for the browser forgetting log-in. That started before IE8 upgrade so I doubt it's a browser issue. No problems on any other sites with log-ins being remembered.

Well, soory to hear the font size issue is not solved. I is for me and as Chris Fullmer said, after deleting board cookies it was solved for him, too.

As for the login details remembering; for me it (again) works just fine. However you may want to look at your IE settings as the URL of the forums has changed from http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf to forums.sketchucation.com and maybe IE got confused.

No luck with fonts, but changing the URL address of my browser shortcut fixed the log-in issue.

Seems in the past all were delete after one day of your last visit
And just new posts were visible

Now all is kept till you press the "Delete all cookies Board"
Not so bad solution

I deleted cookies and the site still does not log me in automatically though I check that choice every time. Used to work all the time. Annoying because I do not notice until inside a thread and logging does not return you to the thread.

PB,

Did you flush both browser and board cookies?
What browser are you on by the way?

Yes, I actually dumped every cookie I had the last time. Using Firefox and Mac OS10.4.
Once I log on the board works normally. I don't get bumped.

So this means the problem is now gone, or am I misunderstanding you?

Coen, Just to let you know that after having problems logging on, even after following the posted suggestions, matters went from bad to worst, on two machines (WinXP, IE7, and IE8) at different locations. It was only after I manually cleared out all of the browser memory that I was able to log on:-) What a mess as I have to reenter all pass words, etc:-(

However, the original problem seems to persist, unless it is a feature of the Forum, which is: When "new posts" is selected, the response is up to 18 pages of post, of which only the first pages are actually new. Previously, didn't the old pages cleared out after a day. Anyway I am fearful that "deleting board cookies" or any of the other suggestions will reactivate the "no log on" problem, and will just wait to see what happens, hoping that my access to "new posts" doesn't get bogged down by accumulating pages. Thanks for all your efforts, I am once again a happy turcker:-)

No the problem is not that I get bumped off, but the forum will not "log on automatically" anymore, though I always check that choice.

honoluludesktop and PB, can you guys please create a separate topic in the Ideas & Board Issues forum (subforum of the Corner Bar) for me please? Then I will take care of it once I will start going through that forum in a few days (or so I hope time permitting).

I'm having issues on Firefox version:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Same as has been reported before. It logs me out every 30 minutes or 15 minutes or something.

I have had this problem in the passed, and clearing board cookies and my browser cookies has always fixed it. But not anymore. I am not having problems at home on my Vista 64 bit IE7, just on my work computer which uses firefox.

I'll keep trying, because I need it to be fixed and I'll let you know if I get it fixed. Otherwise, I am hoping this is something that can be looked into during the next marathon board fix sessions.
