Treasure Island Inside on Kickstarter!
-
Hi Guys,
Our Resident Movie Maker Joel Metzger has just relaunched a project on Kickstarter! I did not know about the first one which failed but I would like to help him get this new one off the ground.
This is the story so far from Joel,
*An Exciting Development...
As you probably know, I was invited by the local public tv station (WHYY, channel 12 in Philadelphia) to submit a compilation of Treasure Inside movies. I'm planning a half-hour show with a few movies and a little talk about what inspires them. The First Try...
Some money is needed for this, mostly to hire videographers, and we did a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter.com. Many people pledged (totaling over $1150) but we didn't reach the goal ($3500). Kickstarter projects are not funded if their goal is not reached, so we received no funds (and nobody's credit card was charged).A Second Try...
A second Kickstarter project just launched, with a much lower goal ($950) -- because I'll work with college students instead of professional videographers. I am asking everyone who pledged the first time, to pledge again this time - so the goal should be reached easily. And if we go over the goal, all extra money will go towards creating more movies. If we each gave a little, it would be easy to put this mention of the treasure inside on mainstream media.
Please visit the Kickstarter page (updated!), watch the video (revised!), and read the rewards (also changed!), and share this with friends. Any amount that you donate will be appreciated muchly!*
So, if you have a fews $ floating around the bottom of you pocket that you can spare shoot over the Joels' Kichstarter project and help make it happen.
There are just 14 days left but Joel only needs to pull in a further $170 to cross the finish line

Kris,
Check out Joel's site. Both Csaba and I are big fans of Joel. We really liked his Naïve art style the first time we saw it. Also Joel has a great story to tell about how he sees life and how he came back to activity after a very bad car accident!
