I've made some stretchy sketchyphysics cloth using loads of universal joints and even more springs. It works really well, so I just thought I'd share it: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=61bb58e07560aea375d604ebf734887e&prevstart=0 If you want to see how it works, turn on hidden geometry and show the physics joint layer; it's really quite easy to make, just kinda time consuming. If anyone wants to make a larger piece in a sharing project, post here.

      Nice.
Did you copy all the joints?
Or just put them in one by one manually?

      Thank you.
      David.

For now, joints can't be copied; they go kinda mental if you do. I arranged a grid, copied and pasted it, then did the joints on one and the solids they're connected to on the other. Then just take one of the grids, with objects, move it into the other and delete the grids. if that makes sense πŸ˜„

It seems we must find a way to copy joint πŸ˜„
maybe a workaround or a back door, something 😞

Otherwise "mental" will describe more then just the joints πŸ˜„

I tried and tried and tried to come up with a way to copy joints. But it turns out I couldn't do it because of the way joint connections work. For SP4 I am getting rid of the joint connection tool in favor of something that is much more intuitive and allows you to copy joints and jointed objects all you want.

Ah. So how are these physics components gonna work? Can they be connected to anything external, or must all their workings be inside?
